Financial Advisor Job Description:
Financial Advisors enjoy the benefits of a highly regarded career. The income potential and quality of life are enormous. Although the first few years require a tremendous effort, the payoffs are equally significant. Being a trusted professional who can change the lives of your clients, creating their financial well-being and your own, is immensely gratifying.
We partner with one of the premier names in the financial services industry to present exceptional professionals who wish to transition their careers to become Financial Advisors. Our client is looking for accomplished, driven achievers who are well-established within their communities and will, once licensed and trained, have the ability to grow a thriving business. If you are degreed, stable, well-connected, polished, articulate, driven, and have mastered the consultative sales process, this may be the right career for you.
This is an opportunity to become a fully-licensed Financial Advisor with a distinguished full-service firm, known for its best practices in developing new FA. If selected, you will receive a base salary and benefits while completing a study program and test for your Series 7 and 66 exams (unless you already hold those licenses). You will undergo in-depth product and services training. You will receive mentoring and ongoing support as you build your business, and will continue to get a base Financial-Advisor-salary during the first two years, followed by additional bonuses in the third year. The Financial Advisor role is a full commission position, but our client provides new Financial Advisors with the financial stability needed to build a customer base during the first few years. Top FA’s can see low six figures in their first year, but typically, good FA’s see six figures at the end of their second year.
Demand for our candidates is at an all-time high in most locations across the United States. Our Executive Recruiters are searching for the best of breed from multiple occupations. Experienced sales professionals, entrepreneurs, managers, teachers, marketing pros, business development experts, engineers, entrepreneurs, accountants, and many other professionals bring transferable skills sets that are desirable to this occupation. Financial services professionals or trainees at another firm are also welcome candidates. Our team has the knowledge and tools to prepare you to compete for these coveted positions. We understand our client’s expectations and will coach you throughout the process of candidacy to give you every advantage. We do not charge you for our services; our client is glad to pay our fee once you achieve placement.
If you feel that a career as a Financial Advisor might be a good fit for you, we encourage you to submit your resume for review. If we agree that you may meet our client’s requirements, we’ll schedule a phone conversation with you to answer the questions you’ll have before you commit to candidacy. We’ll tell you who our client is, about the process of nomination, and what to expect during training and your first few years as a Financial Advisor. We’ll provide a Career Guide and interview coaching, specifically written to prepare you as a candidate for this role with this firm. And, we will remain your advocates throughout the process – again, at no charge to you.
If you have an entrepreneurial streak, proven sales acumen, exceptional work ethic and drive, that’s a great start. Here are the rest of our pre-qualifiers:
- Job stability – very few moves during the past ten years
- Minimum of 5 years professional work experience in your field
- No bankruptcies in the last seven years (any prior must be discharged) and good to excellent credit
- Minimum Bachelor degree
- Must be eligible to work for any employer in the United States
- No felonies
- Must have an established network, client base or circle of influence within your community (no relocation offered)
