MI is looking for an accountant whose responsibilities include monthly bookkeeping, journal entries, bank reconciliations, preparation of financial statements, reviewing credit applications, monitoring inventories and supervising a small accounting staff
To assist in the closing process and preparation of financial statements and reporting for a division of DFA with specific oversight on financial analysis and product costing for two manufacturing plants as well as the division’s transportation fleet
This position has heavy involvement in all aspects of the monthly / quarter close processes and balance sheet consolidation. There will also be regular interaction with our financial systems team.

The Staff Accountant will be required to access and perform duties using the mainframe system, peripheral systems and should have background using accounting applications
Assists Dir of Finance in supervision of finance office clerical staff. Reconciles GL accounts and researches problems accounts. Provides guidance to clerical staff in compiling data for year and month-end closes.
