Northwestern Mutual Financial Advisor Review
Northwestern Mutual Financial Advisor review in Indeed based on the experience of the workers residing in this company. Was a highly demanding, stressful experience. Sales on commission position that encouraged you to use all your personal connections to recruit people to the company. There are some good people and some bad people that work there. A lot of gossip and favoritism. The amount of pressure is out of control. I would not recommend anyone going to this company. Also, the turnover is huge. About 5% of the people I knew from my time there are still there. The people that recruited me and helped my career have also moved on. – Not a Great Experience – Financial Advisor (Former Employee) – Downers Grove, IL – February 14, 2018
This was a wonderful internship opportunity that I’m happy I got to take part in. You get to dive headfirst into what it’s like being a financial advisor and running your own practice. Great internship opportunity! – Financial Advising Intern (Former Employee) – Portland, OR – January 14, 2018

Northwestern Mutual Financial Advisor Review on Indeed and Glassdoor
I really enjoyed the Northwestern culture while I was working there. I learned a lot about financial planning and how the industry is run through the eyes of an advisor. I would not recommend working there directly out of college if you have no experience in the industry and lack a middle age market. – Financial Representative, Braintree, MA – March 5, 2018
I have been working at Northwestern Mutual full-time (More than 5 years). Pros are I love the atmosphere and culture that our office has. We have a great group of people that get to help clients every single day. I enjoy the flexibility and income that this career has brought my life. I have been able to build a team to fully service my clients and only do the things that I enjoy. Cons is It is difficult when you first start because you are building a business from the ground up. Once the business is going, it becomes more predictable. Current Employee – Financial Advisor in Germantown, WI
