Interested in a financial career? Operations Decision Support is seeking a talented individual to join their team as Assistant Accountant job. As part of a shared service center team, your role will be to provide an accounting/decision support service to a range of manufacturing units and co-packing operations.

With a passion for delivering excellent customer service, you will have sound communication skills, the ability to make valid judgments and assumptions while balancing accuracy and a natural self-discipline to work efficiently within strict time constraints. In addition to supporting the factory management teams in the preparation, processing, and reconciliation of annual standard cost budgets, your primary responsibilities will also include:

• Delivering a highly responsive cost service
• Preparation of management accounts and performance data
• Supporting the training and coaching of factory personnel in the use of systems and interpretation of information

If you intend to study towards C.I.M.A, then we would be looking for a relevant degree or equivalent, but it isn’t essential. If qualified for the role due to previous experience in manufacturing/finance then we would be looking for you to demonstrate strong passes in Finance,
Economics or Mathematics related subjects at GCSE/A Level or equivalent as a minimum.

The package on offer for this position includes:

• Assistant Accountant job Base salary of £20 000 – £23 000 depending on experience.
