About the Accountant Job

We currently have an opening for a senior accountant. The qualified applicant will be responsible for a variety of accounting-related tasks involving:

  • Monthly closing for a subsidiary organization with less than 30 employees
  • Account reconciliation and project billing
  • Journal entries
  • Performance and grant reports
  • Financial statement preparation


  • Bachelor’s in Accounting
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting and private sector environment preferred
  • A combination of equivalent education and work experience may be substituted
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and automated accounting and budgeting software systems
  • Strong analytical abilities, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal skills along with the capacity to deal tactfully and diplomatically with others
  • Familiarity with Deltek accounting software a plus
  • Prior experience with a government contractor is a plus
