About the Accountant Job

The qualified applicant will be responsible for a variety of accounting-related tasks involving:
- Monthly closing for a subsidiary organization with less than 30 employees
- Account reconciliation and project billing
- Journal entries
- Performance and grant reports
- Financial statement preparation
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s in Accounting
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting and private sector environment preferred
- A combination of equivalent education and work experience may be substituted
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and automated accounting and budgeting software systems
- Strong analytical abilities, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal skills along with the capacity to deal tactfully and diplomatically with others
- Familiarity with Deltek accounting software a plus
- Prior experience with a government contractor is a plus
