We are an important partner and independent advisor to the Google Cloud commercial leaders, providing them financial, analytical, and strategic insight. As a Google Cloud Finance analyst, you will work with cross-functional teams who all value the impact and influence Finance brings to the table, and who leverage our insights to make the most strategic decisions. Using your technical skills, business acumen, and creativity, you will build automated data solutions that provide strategic insights. You will set the team up for success by creating data pipelines, improving the quality of data, and analyzing data to develop insights that the team can use to shape our go-to-market strategy. - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, Economics, Finance, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function.
- Experience in writing SQL queries and retrieving data from relational databases.
- Experience working on teams that manage large-scale data projects.
- Conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling and data architecture knowledge.
- Knowledge of the Cloud/Software industry.
- Visualization expertise in tools like Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.
- Ability to self-direct work in an unstructured, fast-paced environment, and comfortable with ambiguity.
- Excellent quantitative, written, and presentation skills; innovative, organized, and thorough.
- Partner closely with the Regional Finance teams, understand their data needs, and build plans to address those with intelligent data solutions. Track business performance against P&L goals working with cross-functional partners and report on results to Google Cloud leadership.
- Use Google’s big data to architect metrics, solve problems, and influence executive decision-making. Deliver data solutions that tell a story and provide insights to the users, enabling them to make better decisions.
- Incorporate best practices for reporting, dashboards and scorecards, data visualization.
- Drive Financial business partnership with regional sales finance, supporting function and non-revenue teams.
- Manage and drive one or more large and complex programs spanning multiple organizations.
- Work cross-functionally to develop effective investment strategies and risk management, finding solutions to challenges and influencing the outcomes through data-driven analysis.
