Wealth Advisor Assistant Job Description: This position will assist the Advisor administer all aspects of clients’ accounts and their related transactions.

Location: University, Champaign, IL
Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Education and Training:
- Requires an Associates degree in business or finance, Bachelors degree preferred
- Requires experience with PCs, and word processing/spreadsheet software
- Two or more years related experience in the financial services industry preferred; previous experience servicing high net worth relationship clients helpful
- General working knowledge of trusts, trust administration, and procedures would be helpful
- Participation in appropriate training and informational programs to enhance understanding of the industry will be required as part of the on-going job responsibilities
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Field phone calls from clients and formulate the appropriate actions necessary to help them and enhance their relationship with Busey
- Input appropriate transactions for clients’ accounts, i.e. disbursements, receipts, transfers, fees, and statements
- Prepare documentation to open, close and update modifications to client accounts in accordance with established procedures
- Monitor daily financial reports of the clients’ portfolios to ensure the proper transactions are reflected in the prior day’s work
- Maintain client/prospect mailing database for Private Wealth Advisors
- Open and process incoming and outgoing mail for Wealth Advisors
- Compile and prepare presentation materials and investment reports for Private Wealth Advisors
- Maintain integrity of client files; verify that proper documentation is appropriately filed in accordance with policy and procedure
- Arrange client meetings and annual reviews; assist with preparation for after-hours meetings and seminars as needed
- Assist with the completion of regulatory reviews
- Assist with collection of tax information for clients’ annual returns
- Assist Private Wealth Advisor with client orientation in accordance with set policy and procedure
- May assist with land trust accounts receivable billing; may process corporate account receivables/payables
- May maintain tracking database for fiduciary and personal tax returns
- May attend various department meetings and/or take minutes
- May serve as assistant corporate secretary and assist with Board matters.
- Serve as primary point for client contact in Advisor’s absence. (Wealth Advisor Assistant II)
- May make recommendations consistent with the client Investment Policy Statement. (Wealth Advisor Assistant II)
- May attain designation to include (but not limited to) Certified Financial Planner/Certified Trust and Financial Advisor. (Wealth Advisor Assistant II/Private Wealth Advisor I)
Ability to:
- Work independently and make decisions
- Prioritize daily workflow; meet deadlines
- Analyze and solve problems which there are not precedents
