Roles and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, document and support social monitoring and analytics applications built on an open scalable platform
- Work on complex distributed systems with cutting edge big data technologies
- Work on both front end and backend applications
- Lead junior developers in designing and developing features in social intelligence
- Learn and apply cutting edge technologies and develop new ways of unlocking the knowledge contained within our social infrastructure
- Work in an Agile / Kanban environment to deliver high-quality software on an aggressive schedule
- Design and code test automation
- Technologies and Environments:
- Elastic search, Hadoop, HBase, Spark, Kafka
- Scala, Java, C#.NET and SQL Server
- Linux and Windows
- Desired Skills & Experience
- Experience with Elastic Search, Hadoop, HBase, Spark, Kafka
- Scala programming
- Test automation
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Three years of hands-on experience in developing, designing and delivering software using C# / Java / Scala, preferably in a big data and distributed environment
- Ability to work on multiple tasks, prioritizing and organizing these tasks to maximize productivity in a very dynamic environment
- Excellent verbal and written skills
