The Accounts Payable Analyst supports the Accounts Payable team, performing Accounting and Administrative tasks to ensure efficient maintenance and processing of AP transactions
Required Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor or Associate degree required or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge of accounts payable and general accounting procedures
- Proficient in data entry and management
- 2-3 years of Accounts Payable or accounting experience
- Knowledge of relevant accounting software
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare analysis of accounts
- Assist with month-end closing, including accrual journal entries
- Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
- Review and verify invoices and check requests
- Sort, code, and match invoices
- Set invoices up for payment
- Enter and upload invoices into the system
- Prepare and perform check runs
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
- Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
- Produce monthly reports
- Post transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records
- Provide supporting documentation for audits
