Software Engineer Job Position Description:
The job of this position is to Write, develop, test, and maintain customized computer programs based on client requirements. Provide IT technical services support throughout the software development lifecycle. In handling multiple requests from clients, write technical design documents, and troubleshoot technical issues. Design and develop customized software units. Convert client requests into technical specifications for development teams to create flow charts for coding into computer languages.
Perform testing and propose solutions to resolve identified defects. Support Explanation of Benefits (EOB) applications integrated with Health insurance applications. Create the seamless implementation of web systems intranet and the internet with IBM Generico’s Life Support Plus (LSP) and Health Benefits Management System (HBMS) utilizing base insurance systems and .Net applications. Incorporate best practices on security-driven applications to prohibit access to PHI and PII information. Conduct end-to-end processing of new business applications, insurance websites, and explanation of benefits within a Health & Life insurance application in compliance with HIPAA and SOX standards.
LOCATION Job of Software Engineer: Fairfax, VA (& various unanticipated job locations nationwide)
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent* in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field plus three (3) years of experience in IT (Information Technology) Technical Services including handling multiple requests from clients and converting the requests into technical specifications for the development teams. Experience must include conducting end-to-end processing of new business applications, insurance websites, and explanation of benefits within a Health & Life insurance application in compliance with HIPAA and SOX standards.
*Employer will accept a single degree or a combination of degrees, diplomas, and professional experience equivalent to a Bachelors’s degree.
Software Engineer Salary: $82,514/year
