Software Engineer Job Description: PDI is currently seeking Software Engineers to implement or lead the implementation of development initiatives within a dynamic government intelligence organization.


  • US-born citizenship required due to federal government security requirements. Full time/Permanent position.
  • TS/SCI/SSBI security clearance is required.
  • Minimum 8-10 years industry experience in software engineering expertise to include analysis, design, and coding experience.
  • Experience developing JAVA applications using J2EE on a Windows-based operating system using object-oriented techniques and business consulting experience with the Oracle product line, to include the creation and configuration of plans.
  • Knowledge of application servers, web servers, databases to include table structures and documentation.
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Systems Engineering or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform software engineering and product architecture and requirements documentation products.
  • Monitor system reliability, develop process improvements and ensure system interoperability across future systems development efforts as well as legacy systems.
  • Document user and system administrator requirements and solutions.
  • Interface daily with customers and users and adapt accordingly.
  • Develop and implement overall user requirements, system design and analysis, coding, test & integration, and general system administration.

Qualified candidates will possess the following required skills and capabilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Systems implementation life cycle experience.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability and desire to work effectively with small, diverse, and dynamic teams.
  • Self-motivation and desire to excel in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
