General Summary
Candidate will perform a variety of general accounting and administrative functions.
Essential Job Functions
- Supports accounts receivable billing process using computer software programs
- Matches invoices to purchase orders and receiving reports, researching inconsistencies
- Assists with month-end closing process reconciling accounts and periodic inventory counts
- Maintains the Master Card account with monthly and quarterly reconciliations
- Compiles, sorts and files documents (e.g., invoices and checks) to substantiate transactions
- Assists office personnel with clerical tasks as requested (e.g., answering phones, copying, filing, etc.)
Job Requirements
Education
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: 2nd or 3rd-year college student working towards an Accounting Degree
Experience
- Required: Three years experience in accounting department or 2nd or 3rd-year college student working towards an Accounting Degree
Knowledge/Abilities
- Required: Financial Software Package, Microsoft Applications; Specifically Excel
Preferred: MAS-90 - Other
- Strong organizational and follow-up abilities
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- Strong oral communication skills
- Detail-oriented, accurate
