Financial Advisor PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Successfully increase assets under management and revenue through direct sales of products and services available through M&Is brokerage, insurance, banking and trust divisions. The main areas of focus include Business Development, Sales, Compliance, Customer Service, Team Building and Technical Skills. The general strategy employed by the Financial Advisor will be to develop and maintain a book of business by executing a comprehensive business plan.
This program will focus on generating new business by developing external opportunities that exist within the Financial Advisor’s real market, leveraging the internal resources that exist within M&Is Community Banking Network, and expanding existing client relationships.
Financial Advisor required QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2-4 years of successful sales experience in the financial planning, investment or insurance industry.
- Completion of NASDs Series 7 and 63 and life insurance license required. Health insurance licenses must be obtained within the first six months of employment.

Overall responsibilities include meeting or exceeding annual production, referral, and client retention goals while operating within the scope of all industry and organizational rules and regulations. Specific market characteristics including M&I bank and brokerage deposit and investment assets, the tenure of the Financial Advisor, administrative and compensation expenses, and market demographics will determine individual goals.
