- Our engineering team builds the platform that handles half a billion Tweets per day. As an intern, you’ll have the support – and the responsibility – you need to make a difference on a grand scale.

These range from bite-sized feature development projects to large operations like building the systems that enable us to deliver fast, scalable and reliable services to many millions of users. - Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science or equivalent field.
- Experience with web infrastructure, distributed systems, component-oriented software engineering and/or algorithms.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP and network programming or designing / developing large software systems.
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux or Windows environments and APIs.
- Work on the scalability, resilience, and efficiency of backend components.
- Work closely with teams across product engineering, product management and interaction design.
- Build storage systems, libraries, and frameworks that help Twitter scale.
- Actively look for ways to make the Twitter platform better.
