Nurse Manager Job Description
Under limited supervision, develops and manages a program of nursing and other clinical services. Provides overall management and administrative guidance. Assesses educational and programmatic needs, develops policies and collaborates with other healthcare providers in the provision of services.
Supervises professional and clinical staff and/or participates, in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the delivery of care to ensure the delivery of effective, efficient and safe nursing care.
Qualifications
Two years of experience as a registered professional nurse, one of which must have included performance of one or more of the following: independent provision of advanced level nursing services (e.g. Complete physical assessments, specialized clinic management, etc.), direct supervision of subordinate nursing care staff, or separate provision of in-service training to nursing care staff, at a level equivalent to senior nurse. A current Georgia licensed to practice as a registered professional nurse in the state of Georgia is required.
