Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Corporate Tax Accountant will take on a diverse mix of tax accounting and compliance responsibilities, including tax provisions, temporary and permanent differences, tax credits and deductions, reconciliations, journal entries, and tax research. The role is well suited to professionals with strong knowledge of U.S. corporate tax regulations and GAAP who can communicate effectively, analyze complex tax matters, and help coordinate accurate financial reporting to government agencies.
JOB SUMMARY
The Equipment Division (Sercel) is recruiting a Corporate Tax Accountant. This position reports to the Financial Controller and oversees the Company’s tax reporting and accounting activities.
The Corporate Tax Accountant will assist in the preparation of Federal, State, and Local tax returns, calculate monthly book-to-tax provision, identify and value temporary and permanent tax differences, assist in the calculation of tax credits, deductions and tax studies, including research tax credit, foreign tax credit, foreign withholding tax, domestic production activities deduction and transfer pricing study. Other duties include the preparation of reconciliations, journal entries and other analyses to support various tax accruals. Must have the ability to research and advise on all tax areas and coordinate reporting of financial data to US Governmental Agencies.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- A thorough understanding of US corporate tax regulations and generally accepted accounting principles.
- Experience with integrated accounting software, personal computer spreadsheets, databases, and word processing applications. SAP experience is a plus.
- Interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to act as a liaison between finance and other departments with the parent company’s tax preparer.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of public accounting and/or industry accounting experience, including income tax accounting and compliance.
Work Authorizations/Security Clearance: Employee must be eligible to receive deemed exports as defined by U.S. Export Administration (“EAR”) or EAR-controlled technology.
