CGGVeritas: Corporate Tax Accountant – Houston, TX
The Corporate Tax Accountant will assists in the preparation of Federal, State, and Local tax returns, calculate monthly book to tax provision identifying and valuing temporary and permanent tax differences, assists in calculation of tax credits, deductions and tax studies, including research tax credit, foreign tax credit, foreign withholding tax, domestic production activities deduction and transfer pricing study. Other duties include the preparation of reconciliations, journal entries and other analyses to support various tax accruals. Must have the ability to research and advise on all tax areas and coordinate reporting of financial data to US Governmental Agencies.

- A thorough understanding of US corporate tax regulations and general accepted accounting principles.
- Experience with integrated accounting software, personal computer spreadsheet, database, and work processing applications. SAP experience is a plus.
- Interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to act as a liaison between finance and other departments with parent company tax preparer.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of public accounting and/or industry accounting experience including income tax accounting and compliance.
