To handle information at the scale of the web requires ideas from just about every area of computer science, including information retrieval, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking, security, data compression, user interface design, etc.

Requirements include an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or similar discipline, and 10 years of related experience or through 14 years of software development experience

The Systems Software Engineer is accountable for planning, installing, configuring, monitoring, troubleshooting and maintaining all UniVerse Systems within the Enterprise to ensure optimal operation of the mainframe and installed applications.
