We currently have the following position available in our Neuromodulation Division.

Job Overview
Major Ongoing Responsibilities:

  • Achieves adequate test coverage of product and software requirements; maintains software test cases in the verification database and design test cases for reusability
  • Works efficiently with software analysts, developers, and other verification engineers to deliver quality software products within project deadlines
  • Reviews and inspects software verification deliverables for adequacy and soundness of technical judgment
  • Develops and documents software verification plans, protocols, and reports
  • Participates in test automation efforts; implements test components and scripts
  • Participates in the resolution of customer issues that are escalated to R&D
  • Contributes to quality and process improvement initiatives; leverages and practices software verification industry best practices, follows corporate and department procedures and policies and implements processes, tools, and support systems used within the Verification group
  • Participates in the issuance of patents for inventions
  • Independently determines and develops the approach to solutions; work is reviewed for soundness of technical judgment, overall adequacy, and accuracy.

Education and Training:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in computer sciences, computer engineering, electrical engineering, mathematics, or related field
  • Minimum three years experience in software verification preferably in the medical device industry
  • Expertise in software verification methodologies including system, integration, regression, agile, and exploratory methods
  • Experience in testing GUI applications; familiarity with human factors and product usability verification
  • Experience in testing embedded systems
  • Experience in test automation and the development of test harnesses and frameworks
  • Experience with HP Quality Center, Business Process Testing (BPT) and Quick Test Pro (QTP) Experience in leading software test teams is beneficial
  • Understanding of fundamental electronics principles is recommended
  • Experience as a software developer or analyst is useful
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
