Software Engineer Job Description

Ticketmaster is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Point-of-Sale Development team and contribute to a key applications used by clients and used throughout the company.  We are building world-class products to help our clients serve their customers better and we need a strong software engineer to help us design and ship those products.  We are looking for someone that has a passion for software development and can pick-up software languages quickly.

Software Engineer Responsibilities:

• Understand and contribute to a large existing codebase, including new features, refactoring, and debugging
• Identify and solve technical problems
• Software Engineer Implement complex requirements and work with a deep dependency chain
• Plan and prioritize work for large projects into phased deliverables

Software Engineer Qualifications:

• Team player
• Smart and gets things done
• 1+ years software engineering experience
• Software Engineer have Skills in
• Javascript, HTML and CSS.
• Flash (Flex Builder/Flash Builder)
• Skills in cross-browser development.
• Skills in optimizing UI performance.
• Experience using jQuery is preferred
• Software Engineer Can communicate and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues
• Learns new languages, skills, and technologies quickly, with minimal guidance
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Familiar with object-oriented design
• Software Engineer Undergraduate degree in computer engineering or other technical field
