Primary Software Engineer Job Responsibilities

• Be involved in all aspects of the project life cycle, from the initial kickoff through the requirements analysis, design and implementation
• Help design, deliver a highly scalable infrastructure to meet PayPal”s growing volume and customer base
• Ensure all development adheres to standards of timeliness, quality, and performance
• Confirm adherance to our PLC, and internal audit process and documentation
• Software Engineer Collaborate effectively with other development teams and architects to solve complex problems spanning their respective areas and resolve technological disagreement with informed and rational debate
• Arbitrate disagreements among engineers and make decisions where needed without damaging relationships. Coach, mentor, and delegate to engineers to facilitate their development
• Additional responsibilities may include identification of major system interfaces and development of module reuse on an enterprise-wide scale
• Educate teams on the technical roadmap and help meet the strategic objectives
• Software Engineer Be a true partner in defining the product and consumer experience, have and develop business acumen and bring technical perspective in furthering the product and business
• Actively participate in recruiting the technical leaders for the organization
• Ability to work in a team as well as independently and deliver on aggressive goals individually as well as a team

Software Engineer Job Requirements

• Experience of more than 6 years in software development in electronic Payments area
• Excellent understanding of global credit, debit card processing industry
• Skills in C++, Java, Spring, Hibernate, UNIX, RDBMS environment
• Strong passion and understanding of software engineering challenges
• Great communication skills
• Experience working with remote development teams
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced, complex development environment with short turn-around times
• Ability to explain technical topics to any audience
• Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast paced environment
• Ability to influence technical decisions and build consensus on difficult issues
