Nurse Resolutions currently seeking a Registered Nurse to lead a diverse team as our Nurse Manager. Demonstrated success in a clinical leadership role with the ability to provide leadership and direction to employees. Ability to coordinate all aspects of staffing needs including recruitment, retention, employee relations & evaluating in-service programs, orientation, and continuing education for nursing staff. Ability to develop and implement policies & procedures that guide support staff and meet regulatory standards. Knowledge in the development and implementation of quality improvement programs at the departmental level and responsible for ongoing compliance with Joint Commission standards. Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Wisconsin plus four years of clinical care service in an acute care setting, performance improvement & management experience and current BLS required. BSN, ACLS preferred. Infection Control background a plus.

Description Nurse Resolutions

The clinical manager operates from a knowledge base and skill set which incorporates the advanced population-specific clinical practice, staff development, and management concepts and competencies.  The clinical manager is accountable for activities within her/his assigned areas of responsibility, including serving as a leader, role model, and change agent within the unit, division, organization, profession, and community.  Creates maintains and promotes a professional practice environment at the unit level which is consistent with the vision and philosophy for professional practice.  Builds and maintains effective unit-based teams and promotes teamwork across patient care units and across departmental boundaries, when indicated.  Collaborates with other departments and disciplines to improve patient care and unit services.  Utilizes quality monitoring outcomes to improve or modify unit-based services.  Provides ongoing feedback to unit staff regarding quality monitoring and other unit performance indicators, i.e., strategic initiatives, productivity, safety, infection control, etc.  Established and maintains unit staff competency in all defined areas of performance and clinical practice.

Provides ongoing performance feedback to individual staff members, i.e., timely, annual performance appraisal, guidance in established professional goals, and appropriate development plan, when performance issues exist.  Recruits and retains qualified human resources in order to maintain the unit’s established position control and skill mix targets.  Prepares and submits accurate, timely, and well-justified budgets for all areas of responsibility.  Monitors cost center budget compliance on a monthly basis and submit timely financial variance reports, as indicated.
