Nurse Midwife Job Description

To provide nursing care and coordinate patient care in collaboration with all members of the health care team and provide leadership as physician extenders.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES of Nurse Midwife job:

• Coordinates and provides direct patient care to patients according to emergency medicine principles and practices.
• Uses appropriate interpersonal styles and methods to guide other staff toward achievement of unit goals.
• Assists the manager in unit operations and allocation and management of resources.
• Keeps abreast of current research and standards of care to enhance and broaden the scope of clinical practice for colleagues and customers.

Job Type:     This is a Full Time, Regular Employee position located in Jackson.
