McLeod Health Job: Nurse Educator in Florence, SC

Job Description: The Nurse Educator is the primary source of educational and training assistance for the nurses providing care throughout the Medical Center.  Working with other Nurse Educators he/she addresses training needs prioritized by Nursing Leadership and Nursing Education Service.  The Nurse Educator coordinates with other  educators, both internally and externally, coordinating programs.  The Nurse Educator demonstrates a current and accurate knowledge of processes related to nursing care delivery at the Medical Center.  The Nurse Educator must maintain clinical expertise in his/her area of practice

Skills Required

• BLS Instructor, ACLS, PALS, NALS instructor desired.
• Masters Degree (or currently working on) in specialty with experience in teaching, mentoring, and evaluating adult learning outcomes

Work Schedule

• Full-time; 80 hours biweekly, Monday – Friday (8am – 5pm) with flexibility

Experience Required

• More than 5 years total in related work experience.
