Job Description:
In this role as an Embedded software engineer you will be responsible for design, implementation, and debug of new features and maintenance of the current feature set Harris’ IP-Based Land Mobile Radio (LMR) systems.

Qualifications:
BS Computer Science / Computer Engineering degree with 3+ years software development experience in the following areas:

• Micro-controllers, ARM and DSP architectures
• Embedded real-time operating system such as Nucleus or equivalent
• Developing applications and control functions on a real-time operating system
• Wireless digital embedded devices
• C programming in a Windows environment

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Experience with RF communications, audio and/or data networking
• Programming languages (Assembly, C, C++)
• Experience with creating, testing and implementing best practices in a software development environment
• Solid problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work well in a small team environment and make significant individual contributions
• Excellent organizational, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to react quickly to urgent situations and a “get the job done” attitude
• Flexible for travel when needed
